Late 1980's (we suspect 1987) Fender Stratocaster, in Torino Red. Yes, the serial number would indicate 1984, but it's well-documented that Fender was building the ill-fated "two-knob" Strats at that time. There are multiple examples to be found, of early FMIC Strats with E4xxxx serial numbers, due to the use of old stock necks on guitars built in 1987 and later. That appears to be the case with this one. As you can see in the photos, the neck markings are inconclusive. In any case, this Torino Red 35+ year-old Strat is in great condition! Frets are great, as is the playability. It has the early American Standard bridge, small headstock, and 3 proper control knobs. Ships in a non-original black tolex hard case.
