The MO-WRECK series of vacuum tube amplifiers are the result of several years of research, design, and testing to bring the professional guitarist an amplifier that goes well beyond what they have played in the past. I take the old-school approach to design as well as construction. Vintage Voltage amplifiers are hand built, one at a time, using hand-wired, point-to-point turret board construction and the highest quality components; the right parts for the job. While paying homage to a classic, I have put my own spin into these circuits.
From warm, three-dimensional, crystal clean tones with a surprising amount of headroom for an amp within this power range class, to spine-tingling, on-the-verge-of-breakup sounds that are highly touch-sensitive to your picking dynamics, the MO-WRECK is capable of producing a wide array of tones. It can produce sweet and singing bluesy overdrive lead tones, as well as broad and open-sounding crunch rhythm sounds that are ideal for classic rock riffing. It can achieve juicy and fat lead sounds with the right amount of grease and sustain for fusion and classic rock single-note playing â just by using your guitarâs volume control!
Incorporating an overbuilt power supply and output section with bigger transformers and extra filtering, you get an amplifier with unparalleled punch and headroom that can cut through the mix and be pushed into output tube overdrive with superior harmonic richness, without blowing the band away!
